This explains what we collect when you use this site, why, and who else sees it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, delivery address and, if you give one, a phone number. We need these to take the order and get it to you.
When you answer the welcome offer: your email address, your first name, and the research goal and experience level you select. We use these to send the offer and, if you let us, occasional email.
Automatically: our host records standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser details. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
What we do not do
There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracking script anywhere on this site. Nobody is building a profile of you here, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Cookies
We set two of our own. purum_ruo_ack remembers that you confirmed you are 21 or over and understand what these materials are for, so the notice does not reappear on every page. purum_offer remembers that you have already seen or answered the welcome offer.
The store software sets its own cookies to remember what is in your basket and, if you create an account, to keep you signed in. None of our cookies are for advertising or analytics.
Payment
Payment is taken on our payment provider’s own secure page. They receive the order total, the currency and the names of the items, so they can show you what you are paying for. Card details are entered on their page, never ours: we do not see them and we do not store them.
Who else sees your details
Only those who need to, and only what they need:
- Our web host and its content delivery network, which store and serve the site. Our host operates in the United States, so if you order from elsewhere your details are handled there.
- Our email provider, which delivers messages we send you.
- Our payment provider, as described above.
- A fulfilment partner, once one is engaged, which receives the name and delivery address needed to pack and ship your order.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Details you give us through the welcome offer are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until they are clearly no longer of use.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@purum.bio and we will act on it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights in law; we will honour the request either way. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops that email for good.
